Friday started our exciting weekend. I had my first appointment at 10:30am, and CJ went with me. The doc did an ultra sound and found out our baby is due on June 11, 2010. Everything looks good and healthy.
We got to keep some pictures from the ultra sound and as soon as I can figure out how to get them on here, I will add them.
We then went to mom and dad's house dressed in our costumes (pic in last post). We went into their house and said trick or treat. Mom laughed and she said nice costumes, where is the Halloween party. CJ said we aren't going to a party, then mom said looked at us kinda confused. So CJ said that the costumes are only for today and we are never wearing them again. Then I handed mom the envelope that had the pictures of the ultrasound. When she opened it she opened it wrong so the first pictures she saw were of us in the costume I told her to hurry and flip through it. She finally got to the Ultrasound. She said "whats that a hole in your stomach?" (jokingly). She was excited and wanted to know what happened to 5 years, since thats what we had told everyone.
Dad came in and saw us taking off the costumes but got to see the pictures, it was so funny especially since it took them each a few minutes to get it.
Mom said she was wondering why we chose those costumes especially since I had complained to her that ever since we got married, everyone keeps asking when we are going to have kids. So it was a great way to tell them.
We then went to my grandparents house, and it took them a while to figure it out. My grandmother was on the phone and so we wanted wait but she was just dying to see our costume. But they were excited.
We were finally able to get ahold of Leslie and Alfred (CJ's parents). We mailed them the pics of our costume. And they are excited too. They loved the pics of our costume. They told us they can't wait to see their grandchild. I know Leslie has been looking forward to becoming a grandmother so it was so cool to hear both their reactions. This will be CJ's and my parents first grandchild
On Saturday morning we met Adam and Hailey (CJ's brother and soon to be sister inlaw). We showed them the picture of the costumes and they thought it was funny costumes, and handed the picture back. CJ then gave them the picture back and said for them to look again. Adam's face was priceless, he then looked up at me and his jaw dropped to the ground. They are both also excited.
CJ and I have contacted our family and friends to let them know the good news. We are so lucky to have such a supportive family and supportive friends. We couldn't be any happier having everyone and can't wait for our child to be greeted by our wonderful families and friends.
