and the problems begin.....

So on Wednesday morning at 3am I started have horrible cramps. I was afraid that maybe it was my belly stretching and the baby growing and I was over reacting. I went to work on Wednesday taking Tyleonl and using a heating pad.

Finally around one I couldn't take the pain anymore, and CJ, my boss and my mom kept telling me to call the doctor so I finally did. They told me to go home immeadiately and lie down with the heating pad and if it still hurt by morning to call them to come in for an appointment.

Thursday I woke up with the same pain just not as bad. CJ and I went to the Doctors at 10:30am. They first thought I had a UTI which I was tested for and I didn't have one. The took my blood pressure and said it was pretty hi. But hello would your BP be elevated if you were worried about your baby?!? The doc was able to find the heart beat with the doppler so that was a little releif. She then sent me to see a high risk doctor and to have an ultrasound.

After CJ and I had ribs at Famous Daves, we went to see the high risk doctor. I was first exaimed by the Ultrasound Technician. First thing she told CJ and me is that we would NOT be able to find out the sex today because it was too early. Then she put the warm gewww on me and with in 10 seconds of putting the ultrasound machine on my belly she said everything is ok with the baby and looks wonderful.

After twisting and turning and poking and pushing, she found out that I have a Fibroid. Which wasn't a huge concern but would the reason for my pain, she said the doctor would be in and would explain more details but she wanted to take measurements and look at different things. After that she said she has a good clue on the sex of the baby, but she would tell us unless we promised not to paint any walls or buy any baby clothes or bedding. So of course we promised, and she said that IT'S A ----------. But she would know 100% until we got closer to 20 weeks (at this ultrasound I was 14 weeks and 6 days). Two more times she came back to say she is pretty sure that IT'S A ----------. So CJ and I decided we weren't going to tell ANYONE what it is until our next ultrasound which is in about 3 weeks and it's scheduled for Jan 7. So if you try to ask, our lips are sealed and I am sorry but you will have to wait until Jan 7.

The doc came in after that and explained the fibroid to us. Basically it's a mass (or tumor) it's benign and won't cause any harm to the baby but it may cause me to have cramping, and it may not. It is 9 cm big and thats pretty big so I will probably cause me to be miserable during pregencey. But I can deal with that! I can have the fibroid removed after the pregencey but when I go to have another child they will most likely have to do a C-Section. But the Fibroid is pushing on everything else which caused the cramping. The doctor put me on a prescribtion and for the life of me I can't remember the name of it right now, but its very similar to Motrin. Motrin your not even suppose to take while pregnant but the doctor told me to only take it if I need it and to only take one every eight hours and to take it with food. And for the rest of the pregnecey I will have to have ultrasounds done every three weeks, so people get ready for a lot of pictures!!.

Well then that brings us today I woke up feeling so much better than I have been, and NO PAIN at all today and I haven't even taking my prescribtion. I did bring the heating pad to work today though just incase. Later I will post the pictures from yesterdays ultrasound but I seriously have to get back to work before I get in trouble. So have a good weekend and be careful in the snow. According to CJ and Alfred (our family forecasters) we are going to get 10-12" of snow. Love you all!!

p.s. I didn't spell check. I know I can't spell and my grammar is probabley pretty crappy. If your extremely bored you can send any corrections to me in an email. lol but I probabley still won't fix it.
