So I had this idea to buy the "Bun in the Oven & Bun Maker" Halloween Costume. It cost nearly $75 brand new (seriously for a Halloween Costume) I don't think so. Next I visited one of my favorite websites, EBAY. I found one and place a bid, nope didn't win that either, it actually went up to the cost of a brand new one plus shipping, seriously people maybe you should do your research first.
The little creative side of me had a spark. I could easily make this costume, honestly how hard could it be. I went to my p/t job and took an empty box home, with the idea of painting it. Then I thought it would take forever, be messy and may cause the cardboard to bo. So then I had the idea to take wrapping paper and wrap the box, with the wrapping paper inside out so the white side of the paper would should. Awesome that worked perfectly. I then used different things around my house to trace to make perfect circles for the burners and the dials and so forth. I was so excited. (Box-Free, Wrapping paper-$1 [bought from $tree])
On Saturday I had went shopping with my friend at Party City. I picked up a chef hat and a very thin paperish fabricish type of apron. Who cares how thin the apron is, It was for a costume we are only going to wear a few times. But still I was so excited because it was going to be a lot cheaper than buying the "real" costume. (Chef hat-$6.99, Apron-$1.99)
So here I was I had my costume and it only cost about $10, which was way better than the cost of a store bought one at $75. I am quite proud of myself for being so creative and saving money. Anyways here is a picture of the final result.
We are sending a picture of this to CJ's parents. Though they are not to open it until we call them, (which will be after our first appointment). On the way home from our appointment we are stopping by my parents and grandparents house and just walk in and say Trick or Treat.
