It begins with our Marriage.

Well this is the first time I have "blogged" and I don't really know where to start. So I thought I would start with the day my husband and I got married and then blog about milstones and our journey.

We were married on May 3, 2008. We had an outdoor wedding and we were blessed with beautiful weather (it rained every Saturday in May after our wedding). We had our wedding on a 65-acre farm, that had rennovations done to the barn for wedding receptions. It was absolutely beautiful. I arrived with my father on a white horse carriage. I remember lowering my veil before stepping off the horse carriage and I was glad. I couldn't see anything through my veil which was great I didn't want to see the tears in my dad's eyes or my family members because I would know I would start crying, and if I started crying I know my husband would have started crying. (yes we are very emotional people)

When we were exiting the ceremony we got on our white horse carriage and took about a fifteen minute ride. It was so nice, I believe the hardest part was over (we both hate getting infront of big crowds). We exchanged a few smoochies and shared with each other how we felt when I was walking down the aisle, and then we began to giggle because we couldn't believe that we were finally married.

After the reception, we went home and changed clothes. We decided to go to my parents house because most of our out-of-town guess were over there, at this time it was about 9 or 10 in the evening. We opened up all of our gifts and cards. We hung out and had a few more drinks. Next thing we knew it was 1am, we had to be on the road at 4am to get to the airport in time for our 7am flight to Florida.

We went home and through our lugagge in the car, and set four different alarms. I told my husband to go to sleep and I popped in a movie (I was so afraid that we would sleep through the alarms). Well I think I was asleep for about 15minutes and then the alarms went off.
We made it to the airport in time, but only had 30minutes to get through the airport security and to our gate. Everything was going smoothly until I had to go through security....the stupid metal detector was going off. Here I was wearing a white linen knee length dress, and they had to search me. Honestly if I had anything to hide you could probabley see it through the dress. You would even know if I was wearing any thing other than white underwear and a white bra. Finally they realized all the bobby pins from my wedding do were setting them off, and they congratulated my husband and I. But I wasn't in any mood to deal with them, here I am still thinking like bridezilla and only had 15minutes of sleep in a 24 hour period.

But finally we were on the flight to Florida and then we were shuttled to our Ship. We actually got on the ship around 1pm (the shuttle took forever to pick us up from the airport). We decieded to get some lunch and make our way to our room. We were so exhausted, but had to stay awake because it was manatory that we make the Muster drill which wasn't until 4pm. So in the meantime, I decided to book us a couples massage, which we couldn't do until after the muster drill, but was so worth it and helped us to relax. After the massage, we went to bed it was 6pm (how sad is that especially on our honeymoon) but we had been up since 7am the day before so we were up for 36 hours (if I did my math correctly).

Our cruise was through Royal Carribean on Mariner of the Seas. Our cruise was a 7 night Western Carribean curise. We went to Labadee (Royal Carribean's private beach), Ocho Rios, Jamacia, Georgetown, Grand Caymen, Cozmuel, Mexico. It was the best thing we have ever done. Our ship was amazing, 3 pools, 6 hot tubs, and even an Ice Skating Rink. We also met another couple on our honeymoon that was also on their honeymoon, and we became friends and still keep in touch with them today.

Once the cruise was over, we stayed in Florida for 5 days. My inlaws live in Florida and we figured since we were in Florida we would stay with them for 5 days before returning to reality.

Well I just relized how long this blog is and thought maybe it shouldn't be this long, and I probably have already bored everyone to death, if anyone is still reading.

So to sum things up my husband and I bought our home 5 months before we got married, we have one dog Jack Jack (he's a jack russell). In our year and 4 months of marriage we have done some traveling. We have gone to Florida two more times since our honeymoon, we have went to Ocean City, MD, Rehobeth, DE, Philly, New York City and New Jersey. We love to travel even if its not far(I work 2 jobs and he works a crazy shift work schedule so time is limited). We hope to go to Luray Caverns this fall.

Sorry if I bored you but I do want to thank you for reading my blog, future post won't be even half this long, I promise.
